The stables, Home Farm is set in 80 acres of glorious English countryside, one mile east of Ashdown Forest in the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A former working farm, the stables nestle beside a Sussex barn giving it a sheltered and private setting. The garden with patio, lawn herbaceous borders and garden furniture is safely enclosed. There is a pond on the farm the other restored farm buildings (the cowshed, workshops and pigsty) remain and now house storage, utility rooms and games equipment. | The stables look out across its own garden to the fields and wild flower meadow. Beyond the meadow, usually grazed by local sheep, is Wyatt Wood. The easily accessible woods provide delightful walks, whether you prefer a gentle wander past the trout pool and along the stream, through the bluebell woods, or something more substantial to a local inn for a drink or meal. | |
